Hazy Summer Podcast #2

I threw together another set of jams for my Mexican compadres at Nene Records. I focused on some classic Jamaican dub for the waning days of summer. Here’s the playlist:

01)  King Tubby – “Hijack the Barber” Dub from the Roots [1974]
02)  Dillinger – “Natt Up, Natt Up” Cornbread [1981]
03)  Jacob Miller – “King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown” Who Say Jah No Dread [1974]
04)  The Upsetters – “Jah Jah Ah Natty Dread” Return of the Super Ape [1978]
05)  Cedric Im Brooks – “Free Up Black Man” Cedric Im Brooks & The Light of Saba [197?]
06)  Bunny Clarke – “Move Out of My Way” Shocks of Mighty [1974]
07)  The Revolutionaries – “Roots Dub” Roots Man Dub [1979]
08)  Culture – “Two Sevens Clash” Two Sevens Clash [1978]

  1. Dancing in place is harder than dancing all over the place. But I’d still like to see these cats in a gymnasium, just to see where they freak. Great ja-ja-ja-ja-j-a-a-a-a-am- ams!
